Guest Blogging Today! Avoiding the Mom Frump

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I'm guest blogging today over at Rockin' Green Soap's blog (our diaper laundry detergent!). It's my first time guest blogging, so won't you go over and join the conversation? Here's a little teaser:
When I was growing up, one of my favorite things to do was go shopping with my mom. It was great bonding time, and, well, it was shopping - so of course it was fun. One thing I remember, though, is telling my mom, “you should look for something for yourself!” Because she rarely did.
Fast-forward about fifteen years...before I had a baby, I didn’t understand why women would rather spend money at Gymboree than on themselves. After all, babies out grow everything super fast! Hand-me-downs are just fine, I said.
But that was before I had a baby. Ah, before the baby - back when I felt like I had some sort of license to have an opinion on everything, but absolutely no right to do so. Like many things, I didn’t get it then, but I totally get it now.
